TRAVEL COSTS
Do you know how to deal with airline rules and regulations?
Let us help take the worry out of your pets transportation needs.
An initial fee of $50.00 will be charged to do the preliminary research and provide you with a customized quotation, so that you will be able to make an informed decision. This fee will be applied to your account should you decide to use our pet travel services.
We add our fees onto the price of cargo, which is your pet's air ticket. Therefore using our services is more expensive than dealing with an airline directly. However, our services will totally relieve you of the worry and stress of arranging the pet transportation yourself.
Our fee covers all arrangements, including airline cargo booking, telephone calls, faxes and coordination of your pets travel with all parties involved, as well as ground transportation to and from your home and the airport.
For Domestic Travel - $250-$350
(Depending on the destination State's requiements)
For International Travel - $350 - $550
(Depending on the desitation countries requirements)
Each Pet has to travel in a USDA and Airline approved crate. If you do not already own one, we can assist you in obtaining one and preparing it for travel.
Our crate costs do vary from $50 - $300 depending on the size of the pet. Remember, Giant Breed dogs sometimes require custom made crates which will cost between $300 - $700 depending on the size needed.
Your Pets Airline Ticket aka Cargo costs will vary from airline to airline.
The Airlines take many things into consideration when estimating a cargo price, such as the size and weight of your pet, the dimensions of their crate, the route, and any special services.
Domestic cargo ticket prices usually average $200 for a small dog, cat or bird and up to $1500 or more for a very large dog. Many people are surprised to learn that the pet's air cargo ticket is sometimes much more costly than their own airline ticket. International fees will be quoted only after confirming with the actual airline.
Other fees:
Other fees to be determined for a specific pet move include those of agents used other than ourselves, importation fees for international moves, USDA fees, health certificates, vaccines, Fed Ex charges, boarding or other services that may be requested.
International pet moves may require extensive veterinary work or special endorsements from either government involved. We can assist you in getting any special documentation required for international transit, and will not ship a pet until we are sure all the necessary requirements are met. These services will be at an additional cost.
Fees quoted will be an estimate only. Actual fees may vary due to changes in pet shipping plans, services not originally requested, tests or vaccines required for transport, etc. A final invoice is determined prior to shipment so the pet owner knows exactly what final costs will be incurred.
Estimates are good for 60 days. It usually takes about a week to arrange a shipment; rush shipments will incur additional expediting fees.
Payment:
We accept payment via cash, cheque or you may pay with a credit card via PayPal.
PLEASE NOTE: Your pet relocation expenses are tax deductible!
According to the IRS Publication #521, "Moving Expenses" states that a pet move is tax deductible relocation expenses when your relocation and moving is for the purposes of a change in employment. Consult your tax preparer for more information and details of itemization.
